What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

Few days ago my husband and I got into an accident: we were going straight and a woman made illegal left-hand turn and hit us. We called the cops and they made a police report and gave us DC number.
The woman who hit us was from out of state and driving Hertz rental car. She said she did not have her insurance information.

We took the DC number down and contacted Hertz claims department where we were assigned a claim number and an adjuster. Adjuster called me and said he called the woman and left a message and that he will give that woman one more day to contact him and then call me back. he shoudl have called yesterday and didn't yet. I called him and left a message but he did not call me back yet. It's been 4 das since the accident I am wondering what should i do now. Should I hire a lawer or should I try contacting a woman myself to get her insurance information. Also who is responsible to pay for my damages, Hertz insurance or that woman's insurance? And what if she does not have her own insurance, will Hertz pay for my damages?

i also contacted my insurance company and they told me since the accident was not my fault, i should contact insirance of the woman who caused the accident.

You need to be more patient. Claims can take up to 30 days to settle, sometimes even longer. Especially if your car is driveable, just relax and let them investigate.
