What is the name of your state?ny

i was at a dealer for 2 hours.looking to buy a new car.
in the process, the salesman asked for my keys to look at my car.
after i left i got on the highway and my hood crashed open and totalled my car.
i called the manager and he tells me the salesman said he closed the hood.
ultimatly he said he needed to speak w/the owner to see if they can do anything for me...
is this redicoulous?i almost got killed, they destroyed my car by negligence, and its been 3 days now..the manager tells me he hasnt spoken to the owner yet...
tomorrow im going down there and getting an answer to something..either yes/no..
the manager got upset when i asked for the owners #.he wouldnt give it to me.
then got nasty when i aske dthe name.
he said if i call the owner before he talks to him, then thats whats gonna happen..? i dunno either..

help?

Be careful of your temper when you go down there. You have a few options right away. Talk with a lawyer is one. The other avenue is the Better Business Bureau. I've threatened to file a complaint and that has gotten action before. I wouldn't go to the lot and get all crazy because then they can call the police and you go to jail. Be careful.

how about calling your own insurance company and getting your car fixed. then let your carrier deal with the auto dealer.
