I've got a situation with which no one I speak to ones to help.
I just recently moved to Oklahoma from California. During my move my wallet got stolen with my CA driver's license in it. I've since gotten an Oklahoma ID card and noticed that there was a sign stating that before getting a driver's license in OK any car owned by me had to be registered in OK.
I went this afternoon to register my car and the woman told me that she would need my California driver's license which I said had been stolen. She then gave me the phone number for a driver's license station. When I called the driver's license station they told me that I couldn't get a license without my car being registered in OK. Basically, I don't physically have a license in my possession and they won't register my car without the license and I can't get a license without my car being registered. Also rather than offering any help both people told me "Well it's the law". No one was willing to help me with a solution.
I'm just wondering what the state of Oklahoma would expect me to do in this situation because I'm a spoiled Californian who usually only has to worry about going to one place when I need anything to do with my car or license!
Thanks in advance for any help.
