What is the name of your state?KY at the time.

I am still finding that companies are still reporting our accounts as BK. It has been nine years. Can I and should I contact the credit bureaus to get this info removed?

Reporting time for BK is 10 years on Chapter 7, contrary to popular belief. Check out creditboards.com, you can try disputing the item with the Credit Reporting Agencies as "not mine" or if that doesn’t work "obsolete" due to the time that has passed, but the answer to you question is yes, it can still legally be there.
