We live in Calif. were married for 20 yrs, in the settlement he was ordered to pay family support (we have one 15yr. child) for an undisclosed amount of time. It states that he is suppose to have 20% visitation but because of his job he no way gets near that. He has told me that as my daughter gets older he is going to pay me less. She doesnt even want to go to his home anymore. My lawyer lead me to make some terrible arangements and I would like to get a new one should he take me back to court. How hard will this be for someone new to fight the case? His lawyer was sly and he keeps reminding me that "I got nothing the first time and I will continue to get nothing" It doesn't seem fair. How is it that my daughter lives with me 95% of the time yet he gets the deduction for his taxes, and I pay tax on the support?
