My ex and I were divorced in Oregon and now both of us reside in Washington. We have an amicable relationship and have ironed out a new parenting plan which allows nearly unlimited visitation with respects to each others' plans.

With both of us in agreement, how do we go about changing the venue of our case to Washington so we can file our new parenting plan locally?

If both of you are in agreement, then why would you want to change the venue? I just don't understand wanting to change the status of the states if everything is going well.

because "The It" has an ulterior motive for posting on this board and it has nothing to do with a parenting plan.

It must be close to another court date again would be my guess, thats when he always shows up here to try to rattle raddad.

Well TheIt I find it hard to believe you could have an amicable relationship with anyone! Bug and Rad aren't on here much anymore, no need to attempt to ruffle feathers!

Ladies,

I believe The It could be anyone. I do not understand you automatically "assuming" the poster is against previous posters, as you name bug and raddad.

I think one should be more open minded with the posters question, although I am still awaiting my own.

Ding! Ding!

Tell them what they've WON Johnny...........

Even though I don't post much, I still surf around.....

Smarty Pants is right on the nose!!!!!!

Good Luck Thomas. I can always tell when it's time for court by the arrival of the whack job. Hopefully the end to all of this is near and you will get the boys from the vindictive witch.

Should there be a dispute in the future, it would be helpful to file locally instead of over 300 miles away. Also, the children are better represented by a court more closely connected to their environment.

the downfall:

My understaning is that the State of Washington does not allow direct child support payments as does Oregon. I'm not sure I want to trust any state with my payments. I know my children are getting the entire amount by directly paying their mother. (not to imply that my children get any cash from my payments, but that at least their mother is able to assist in the childrens' care directly from payment by me).

My question still remains as to how to file, but, I guess this is not the forum for free advice, so I'll just call the local court instead.
