What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TN

my ex stated yesterday that our state (Tennessee) has changed the way they calculate child support and that they now consider the income of spouses. is this true? i can`t imagine my attorney thinking this was not important enough to tell me, and a Google search is yielding zero results. is she misinformed, or are changes in effect/on the way?

She is misinformed. There are rare instances where a court takes into consideration the income of a spouse, but that only happens if the obligee is either unemployed or underemployed, and even then, its only to help determine how much of a income to impute to the obligee.

Your ex probably heard of someone whose spouse's income was taken into consideration with a scenario like that, and made an assumption that it applied to everybody.

Leftout is confusing reality with wishful thinking. ;)

Nope. But his ex is either left out or left behind. One of those two names who is a major moron.

The ex is registered too? Um...would it not be painfully apparent to the ex that OP is going to want to confirm here anything the ex claims?....y'know, it being a legal forum and all that?!

Left Out is even dumber than S4E. She wouldn't get the idea if it was literally drilled into her head.

The woman is an idiot. And a narcissistic jerk...She sabotaged the relationship between OP and his child for the sole purpose of getting more parenting time for support reasons.
