What is the name of your state? TEXAS
I have a friend whose husband of 10 years has ran off with a younger woman leaving her their 6 year old son without transportation. She is a licensed Barber but quit her job in 1999 following the murder of a cousin and her husbands first affair. She has been a stay home mom since. I feel it safe to say that a divorce will definetly take place in the near future. The problem now is the house. The home was left to her and her two sisters in 1996 by their parents. It was paid for but since it was willed to all three of them, her and her husband obtained a loan against it for $40,000 in order to pay $20,000 to each sister to buy their share. When her husband cheated the first time in 1999 he also quit his job. Needless to say they got behind on the loan payment which later forced them into bankruptcy. Her husband went back to work running another pawn shop. She thought bankruptcy payments were all being made but after he left found out they were 4 payments behind and foreclosure was set to begin on their home. One of her sisters husband offered to pay the loan against the house off for her. Without my friends husband signing off on the house it is impossible for this to be done. She has told him she needs him to sign but he refussed to do so. Now he can not be found. The foreclosure ends the last day of this month and the house will be sold at public auction the first week of April. Since he abandoned them and refuses to sign off on a home that she can save but will loose without his signature, is there anyway around the need for him to sign?
