What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin

I have 50/50 custody with my ex and she recently got a DUI. Could this be used against her in court in order to gain more visitation with the child? The child was not with her when she got the DUI, so the child was not in any danger. She has no previous alcohol related offenses.

Thanks

You yourself say that the child was not with her and in no danger, so please explain how you are trying to punish Mom and this is not about the child.

Not likely.

Nope, that alone certainly won't do it.

LOL Just make sure you don't drink too many beers at the wedding!

I have a question regarding some of the language used in my child custody papers. There is a part in it that states "Neither party shall consume alcohol while their daughter is in their care." Me and my child's mother have 50/50 placement and custody. My question is this, I have a wedding coming up and my daughter will be staying with her grandma for the night. I was planning on possibly having a few beers at the wedding. Will I be in violation of my child support order? She will not be in my direct care. Just not sure on the wording on the order.

Thanks

For Pete's sake! I specifically asked this guy in his other thread if either he or Mom had a problem with alcohol now or in the past. He said no. Now all the sudden Mom has a DUI. That, and the fact that they have a no-alcohol clause in their parenting agreement in WISCONSIN (of all places, geez, we drink beer for breakfast around here), leads me to believe that Mom or Dad or both have had problems with alcohol in the past.

OP, NO ONE CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T TELL THE TRUTH!
