What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Arkansas. I need to know what steps to take to try to regain custody of my 6 yr old son. My ex-wife (an attorney) had an affair with one of her clients (a known drug runner - the DEA is watching him, but say they can't help me since this is domestic). She left me, filed for divorce, and married him 3 days after the divorce was final. I have custody for only every other weekend and 3 hours on Wed. Many times she has not followed the guidelines given for visitation and my visitations have been cut short or have not taken place. The trial for the new husband continues to be pushed back, so as of yet he has not been convicted, but it is well known that he is in deep with drugs and distribution. I thought if I gave her what she wanted in the divorce that I would get more custody, but that back-fired. Now I have nothing and hardly any visitation. She has enrolled him in school under the new husband's name - which I'm told is illegal since I am the child's legal father. I am concerned for my child's well-being - not only physicallyundefined but also emotionally. My attorney was not much help. We are in a rural area and since she is an attorney, the attorneys around here don't seem to want to get involved. I have been documenting the visitation violations, but surely there is something else I can do. Please let me know where to start. Also, if he gets convicted, does that help my case in trying to get my child back? It seems as though I could push for something like child endangerment.

Also , send the school proof via a court order and birth certificate that you are the child's FATHER, and request the Records corrected. Also request them to send you any reports a Parent is entitled to under the Federal Laws. State that you are NOT barred from records by any court order.

My X pulled that crap, with putting another man's name on school records , as " father to be ".

How low can one go ?

Unless you can prove the child is around illegal activity, or is in harms way, it will be hard to prove endangerment.

Have you considered a call to Your State's child protective Agency , to see if your concerns or " allegations " warrant an investigation by them ?

At the time of the Affair, why didn't you call the Bar association about the Attorney's conduct ?

yes, physicians can lose their licsences (well at least psychiatrists can) if they have an affair with their patients...is it common for attorneys to have affairs with clients? i feel like i keep hearing about this?
