i am a divorced mother of 2 children under 18. I receive alimony and child support but support payments are paid directly by my ex. they are not deducted from his check on the job and sent to me. my question is this. my ex-husb. is a police officer and a member of the air nat'l guard. he is currently on alert due to the sept. 11 incident and may be activated. what happens to the support payments? will he be req'd to send them from wherever they send him? what if he isn't getting the same amount of income while on military leave, what does that mean for me and my children? can i request that the military deduct the support payments from his income as well as have his job send any support from whatever he may be getting? he is req'd by the courts to pay my children's health insurance from his job. what happens to that?
