Child Support during summer vacation

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama
I was under the impression that while I have my son during the summer that I still have to pay Child Support. My ex-wife lives on the west coast so he is physically with me, its not a over the night thing. Friends of mine said they know of individuals that do not have to pay during summer visitation. I've continued to pay because I didn't want to risk being in arrears.

Unless your court order says that child support is abated during vacation, then you pay as ordered.

Don't listen to your friends. They a) likely aren't attorneys and b) aren't subject to YOUR court orders.
