What is the name of your state? North Carolina

My 18 year old son recently graduated from High School. My ex wife has been recieving court ordered child support that will end when he graduates High School as stated in the Custody Agreement. He graduated several weeks ago and has decided to live with me. He has a full time job and has been living in my home for 2 weeks now. My question is this, what is the procedure to modify the child support order. Will I need to contact the Child Support Enforcement Agency or will I need an attorney to file papers in court. Is this something I would be able to do myself without the aid of an attorney? Thank You

Check your court's website for forms. My H did the emancipation (IN COLORADO, which is NOT the same!) without an attorney, using simple forms from the court site. I would imagine yours is much the same.

I would never trust CSE to stop a wage assignment for me. That's not to their benefit. Do it yourself.

Good luck. :)

Thanks for the info Silverplum. FYI . This is my only post today, you must have me confused for some one else. I posted something similar about a week ago but I am not sure why this would matter.
