Went to family court to file for child support the end of July and was assigned a court date of September 7, 2004. Went before the magistrate and was awarded a temporary support order beginning September 3rd. The case was then adjourned with a date to appear before the judge on December 7, 2004. When I go back to court in December, will my ex be responsible for paying child support from the date I filed in July? Day care and medical will also be added in December and will this be retro from the time of filing in July?

Child support should be , If granted, Odered from the date of filing.

If a final Order is made in Dec. the Party owing the support will be order to pay a monthly amount , plus arrears , a little more each month until the arrears are caught up ( current).

I don't know for sure about medical and child care, but I would also think they would go back to the date of filing,if awarded.
If so the back amount might also be applied as arrears as described above.
