Is there a standard percentage of income that is support payment are based on. Would an annual income of $1,500,000.00 earned by the supporting parent be subject to the same percentage rate.

My response:

Maryland Family Code
Sec. 12-202(a)(2)(iii) states that in determining whether the application of the guidelines would be unjust or inappropriate in a particular case, the court may consider the terms of any existing separating or property settlement agreement or court order, including any provisions for payment of college educational expenses.

You might want to research that code section for further details.
