the (ncp)parent lives in north carolina. five year old son lives in georgia with (cp-mother). the five year old refuses to talk with father, refuses to visit with father, refuses to talk with fathers parents and new wife. the child has visited father on scheduled weekends under ten times over the past two years. now that summer vacation is here father wants child to spend summer with him(rotating every two weeks). if the child visits, the father will be away four days per week with his job, leaving child with grandparents and new wife. the ncp-fathers new wife will be left to take care of child in evenings. child is very confused and upset. is there anything by law that can be done to stop this visitation, since the father is not there to bond and provide care for small child? the visitation is under nc jurisdiction. can the child tell the judge that he does not want to go(at his age of five, well six in august)? i am worried about the well being of child! thank you.
