All this peeling seen on the link began to happen to my 2003 Montero
six months ago. Please click the link and look at my pictures. Am
curious if others have had this problem. I was told by the dealer in
no way is this covered under the extended warranty and the bank where
I leased it from does not consider it normal wear and tear and told me
I am liable for it. I am awaiting a decision from Mitsubishi but it does not look promising. Could this be a base for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT?. An independent body shop told me this peeling is due to a manufactuer's defect. What is the name of your state?

You may need to have the car repainted. a 4 year old (minimum) vehicle will usually start to experience problems with the paint job.
Your beef may be more with the leasing co. If you can prove that this is a mfg. defect, then you shouldn't be responsible for it upon lease return.
