What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Cambridge, Massachusetts

I was able to pass the Police exam a few years back in Boston. Cambridge, the city i had been living in was my first choice; yet when came time to hire, they denied me the job.

Prior to that, there was a civil litigation against the state based on racial disqualification, which i was part of. Most of the blacks and Latinos in the suit were promised re-hire procedures through the settlement that followed. About 2 million dollars was disbursed to the various Pd's previously involved in the racial discrimination and violations of civil rights; so they could hire those who had been discriminated against.

During the settlement and trial mind you, i was left out; until someone randomly decided to send me the results of the settlement one day in the mail. Since then i have been fighting tooth and nail to figure out "HOW COME" and "WHY" i was not properly notified.

I spoke to someone at the Cambridge PD, a spokesperson who lied through her teeth, on behalf of the Commissioner, that there somehow tried to notify me, which is a bunch of nonsense.

Since then i spoke to a few local lawyers who unfortunately did not want to get involved in this case because of their ties to this particular PD, their fears or their reputation; and for those willing, maybe two i found on the massbar out of 20 i've tried to speak to, money has been the problem getting their attention.

I feel i need all the advice and help i can get, because sooner or later, i am going to take this to a court and get it looked so Justice can have its day.

Please send forth any advice you might have.

Thanks
