What is the name of your state? FL

Chronological facts: Dissolution of Marriage case

1. 7-20-99 Motion to Abate filed by Spouse's atty (SA)
2, 8-20-99 Hearing on Motion to Abate, Case abated for 6 months CASE STATUS states
CLOSED 8-20-99 on Cty Clerk's website
3 10-12-00 Motion to Withdraw by SA
4. 10-20-00 Hearing on Motion to Withdraw by SA, ORDER ON MOTION TO WITHDRAW
AS COUNSEL OF RECORD
5. CASE STATUS now states: "Reopen - Other", dated 10-20-00, and continues to this
day listed as Reopened?

There has been no litigation of any kind on this case since the SA withdrawl on 10-20-00. I have read that a case is considered closed if there is no activity in a one year period. Can't determine why the case would remain in a reopened status with no filings for almost 7 years??

Any thoughts? Do I need to file a motion to close, or is there another procedure I have overlooked to obtain a similar result?

Looks like this is either a very difficult procedure or a secret of the fraternity judging from the lack of responses. GL

Sorry hombre! Next time make sure your post meanders, is grammatically incorrect (try using all caps) and does not have Civil Litigation as its subject, you will get more responses! jk
