Sorry, I should have elaborated.

I had filed several motions to depose, and this afternoon he directed me to submit a COB detailing what each deposee would likely testify to.

OHROADWARRIOR,

I have searched through electronic filing and couldn't find a Court Ordered Brief. I did find a "Brief- Not Related to a Motion", however the COB is for a serious of motions I filed "Motion to Depose Prisoner ___________" on about 12 different prisoners. He wants a more definitive statement of what each prisoner will be deposed on. I have already stated preparing it and would like to know where the best to file is?

Basically, the judge wants a more definitive explanation as to why you are deposing the prisoners. Submit a brief composed on the appropriate "pleading paper" and see where that leaves you. You can entitle it "Court Ordered Brief" in response to Hon. (Judge's name)'s direction.

Was the judge's order served on you or was it a verbal order? Also, couldnt you file one motion naming all the prisoners you want to depose, rather than a motion for each one?
