Hello,
I had a house foreclosed on awhile back and there are funds remaining after all the debt and fees were paid. I sent a letter to the trustee that handled the foreclosure, and they said they couldnt contact me so they deposited the funds with the clerk of the district court. So I sent a letter to the court and they sent a letter back to me saying that I have to file an "order releasing the funds." I contacted a lawyer but they werent familiar with doing that...Can anyone tell me how to file an order releasing funds for this particular situation? Thanks,

Similar Situation. Need Advice

I have a similar question. My Decatur Georgia home was foreclosed on in 1996. I just found out that it sold later that year for about 20K more than I owed. Is there a statute of limitations that has run that would preclude me from collecting the overages? If not, how do I go about recouping the overages.
