Hello;
I have recieved on my credit report a neg. report from CB of Hudson Valley for $50.00 (Collections). I am clueless to who this is, I have disputed my credit report and recieved a reply "it stays"
There is no address supplied, no numbers, and I even searched the WEB, I wrote the credit bureaus explaining this and the only reply is "it stays".
What do I do? since my divorce 5 years ago I have worked hard to repare my credit and keep it clean ?

Request the CRA's to verify the Debt . Request a copy of the verification form .
If the debt can not be verified request the neg. report be removed from the records .

Thank You Mr. Debt Collector;
I contacted CB and they did tell me the name and address of the owed.
Well it was an error for I had my reciepts, but CB says they must be contacted by the owed they will not call them. So I called the owed and was told they will call so here we will see how long it will take to come off my CR.

Well it's amazing I recieved a call from both the CA as well as the owed and both appoligized and said it would be removed.

How long is reasonable before I can expect this tp be removed from my credit report. It's been around 6 weeks and i did recieve a letter explaining the error. Also a letter from the credit bureau.

Call , or write them both and state you expect the report to be removed immediately .
