I have been receiving collection notice and frequent calls regarding unpaid invoices for an "alarm monitoring service" for which I never received. Can I bring the Alarm Company and the Collection Agency to the small claim court? I first intend to write them a letter but, I can not pick-up the correct legal terminology for someone who bills for services not provided and for their negligence in not correcting my alarm system put into proper work. I have been visited by Police Officer due to frequent false alarm. What other legal words can I use in my letter so they will stop harrassing me?

Would you please clarify your post.

have been receiving collection notice and frequent calls regarding unpaid invoices for an "alarm monitoring service" for which I never received.

This sounds like you ordered an "alarm monitering service" but it was never installed. Then you state:

for their negligence in not correcting my alarm system put into proper work. I have been visited by Police Officer due to frequent false alarm.

How can you claim you never received anything when you turn around and state you did. The police officer would not be visiting if you never received the service.

Alarm System

California. I moved in to a business unit whereby the previous occupant left the premise without canceling their monitoring service with an Alarm Company. I wrote this company a letter requesting that I am a new tenant and would like them to remove their equipment in as much as it kept on alarming everytime I enter my office. I tried calling them based on the telephone number given to me by the previous tenant but, only to find out it is no longer a working number. I wrote them also a letter which was not acknowledged. I have police coming in every now and then due to false alarm from January-February 25th of 2005. By March, I finally got from the previous owner the "code" which helped me finally to request disconnection from the Alarm Co. that monitors the system. However, invoices still kept on coming in for services not provided from March through May 31, 2005. Now, I am being harass by the collection agency for the unpaid accounts but not limited to the balance not paid by previous occupant. Can I put a legal claim against the monitoring company and the collection agency into?undefined
