I have recently been getting calls from a "Recovery" service from California concerning my 21 y o nephew and a credit card problem. Approx. 1 month ago I received a call asking me about the whereabouts of my nephew, the woman who called informed me that they were seeking my nephew who had a "problem" concerning a credit card. The woman said that she needed to get hold of him because they were going to file fraud charges against him. I told her if I heard from him I'd give him the message. A couple of days later she called again, I asked her not to call me again, she said ok, she then called again. I asked how she got my number, her reply was that they "traced" the call to me. Is this legal? Can she in fact "trace" a call of mine, is she allowed to continue to call me after I asked her not to? What are my rights? He, my nephew, told me he had his wallet lifted, someone copied his cc number and charged some things to it, he said he was unaware that it was being used, I don't care what happens to him, what are my rights?, any help would be greatly welcomed. Thanks

I am not sure of your rights, but I do know that when someone keeps bugging me, I just block their number. Hopefully she is calling from the same phone line. LOL I also think that harassment would be a good word to throw at her if she does phone you again. Maybe that might give her a clear picture that you mean business.
