If people would think about it for a minute:

paying off a debt that is hanging over your head would be a great Christmas present. While it doesn't have the same impressive impact as a shiny new car (which for most of us merely represents additional debt), it will have a profound impact on the debtors life which is really a much more thoughtful gift than some new toy.

So, for those you love, rather than a new pair of socks or that edible underwear you were checking out or that insanely expensive life like love doll (can be as much as $5k or more) (no, I was not shopping for one...
