I gave my two weeks notice on August 27, 2004. My last day will be September 10. My job is salary plus commission in the health industry. My employer is always two months behind on paying commissions. So in September we get paid for July and in October we get paid for August. They also have a way of screwing up the amount that should have been paid out. I have been informed that when I receive my final check on September 10, that my PTO, commission for July, and salary will all be on it. Then I was informed that I will not get paid commissions for August since I will not be working for the company when they pay the commissions out. It is my understanding that I am due all commissions earned while working, especially if I worked the whole month. If I do not get paid my commissions for August what course of action can I take? Also, in general, if a company screws up the amount of commission that should have been paid, then how long do they have to correct the issue and pay the employee? Thanks!!
