When is one considered "common law married" in TEXAS and how does this effect property (house) purchased together? We have lived together since April of 2000 but always told everyone we are not married. We plan to marry "for real" in 2002 but have not made that public. is it true you are automatically married after living together for one year in TX?

No, and you are currently not married.
