Can you please tell me if the state of West Virginia has a common law? If the do how long to you have to live together or does having a child together make it common law????

My response:

West Virginia is NOT a "common law" marriage State.

Having sex, or conceiving a child, is not a prerequisite or a requirement in those States that have "common law" marriage laws.

Therefore, in the eyes of the law, you're just "shacking up" and you have a child out of wedlock. Join the crowd.
