I live in Illinois. I bought a 1 bedroom condo right next to the laundry room. The condo has 30 units so lots of laundry is washed. The washing machine vibrations shake my floor and are real loud. The dryers have a exhaust system with a some type of motor attached to the hallway floor. It is loud and I can feel the vibrations when standing in my condo. I have spent $800 sound proofing my walls w/ no success. I have also spent money on rubber mats under the washing machine w/ no success of reducing the noise. I have tried to talk to the association but they wont even listen. They blow me off. I have been putting up signs of laundry room hours are 8am to 8pm. Those are ignored. I am currently in 1 last effort to try w/ the management company who works for the association. I am at a point where I want to start updating a lot in the condo. I am hesitant to start dumping money into the place because of the noise issues. Any ideas on how to proceed?
