atlanta, ga. my fiance was stopped for dui in november of 2000. he is 56 years old and has never even gotten a speeding ticket. anyway, we are moving to tampa, fl in a week. he is to fly back to atlanta,ga on 3/22 to appear in the fulton co courthouse and was told he had to put in so many hours of community service. he has a new job in tampa. coming back to atlanta would present a hardship. he wants to do what the court tells him to do. however, is there any way he can do his community service in the tampa area? He also does not have a lawyer. .Is he more or less at the mercy of the court if he defends himself? Thank you.

If your husband was assigned community service I am assuming there is a community service officer (someone that will give your husband his assignments and keeps track of the hours of community service performed). Well this person won't bite so just ask.

Good Luck!
