What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

I work for an HVAC company and am required to be in an on call rotation for weekends. I am only paid my hourly wage if I get called out, yet I can not do much during the times that I am not on calls because we are expected to respond as quickly as possible. The on call shifts last for 72 hours.

Thank you for sharing your story. You have not asked a question, but my crystal ball suggests that you want to know if you should be paid for your on-call time. The answer is too fact specific to be answered on a message board. You will need to describe your EXACT situation to the state DOL and get an opinion from them; it will depend on EXACTLY how long you have to respond and EXACTLY how restricted your activities are.
