I live in TN. I am the mother of a 12yr old son with Cerebral Palsy. He can do nothing for himself. He can only verbally express his needs(not able to sit up alone, crawl or walk). While in his fathers care, he gets hurt quite often. This weekend his father put him on a large horse, left him unassisted, the horse was spooked and threw him off. The result was a broken collar bone, bruised kidney, and deep cuts to the back of his head not to mention the bruises all over his tiny body. I dont want him back on a horse ever. His father insists that he will put him back on a horse as soon as he heals. Do I have the right to tell him not to do so or would a judge tell him not to do so. I do have full custody and want to know my rights. I am begging you please advise me. For my sons life, I am afraid. He is all I have and live for. Please help us. I need to know what to do.

In normal circumstances, you have no say about what the father does during "his" time with a child; however, I think a judge would have to agree that he is endangering the child in this case. That's made even more obvious by his insistence that he will do it again as soon as he heals.

I would request supervised visitation only. This man is dangerous!

Please let us know the outcome.
