What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

When a sewer clog caused a back-up into our 1st floor condo, our tenants contacted us, and we made an emergency call to our association management company. They called Roto-Rooter. The technician who cleared the drain used a cable to pull some very old wipes (baby wipes?) that were causing a stoppage about 70 - 80 feet away from our clean-out access point. He said that at least 4 condos connect to the sewer line anterior to our clean-out, and four connect to the sewer line after our clean-out. Therefore, he said, about 8 or more condos are connected to the line anterior to the clog in the main sewer, and there is no way of telling which condo the wipes had originally come from. At least two other condos also experienced back-ups that I know of. Our tenants are elderly, and said they absolutely do not use or throw wipes into the toilets. I have received a brief email from the head of our Association Board, stating, "I don't see any reason for the Assn. to pay this invoice," and he told Roto-Rooter to forward the bill to us!!! What should we do?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

**A: get the written report from the Rotor people and forward to the Board President with your own explanation/dispute.

Last thing talk to a plumber to learn how much it would cost to get check valves installed then get the boards approval , and get it in writting.
