Recently, an elderly condo owner who is in poor health (physical problems and poor memory) has taken over the condo board in a recent election (with the use of proxies). With her she has brought two new owners who have attended few, if any, board meetings. Over the years, this person has been on and off the board and has left me (I'm a long-term board member) numerous nasty phone messages. The most recent message that I have kept warned me not to talk to anyone on the board but her because she is running the board and the building. She has stated that she wants to remove management, even though the board said it wanted to review that option carefully before doing anything. Now she has deleted management's phone number from a recently updated owners' phone directory with no explanation. I have great concerns for the future of the building and my ability to represent the owners. I would appreciate any advice you could provide.
