What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

Condo association repeatedly denying buyers of condos after receiving Renters Reference credit check. Nothing shows potential buyers cannot pay or have very bad credit. Only thing is that all the buyers are black. Otherwise they conform to all by-laws for sales. This has happened many times and frustrates the sellers until they turn the condos over to the Association for $0. Most realtors in the area will not even take on the listings because of this practice.

**A: why would a Buyer fill out a renter's credit check?

In Florida and some other states, condo boards have authority to screen and reject potential owners and renters for some reasons such as criminal background, pets, etc. Some boards use credit check screening, supposedly to make sure that an owner can pay condo fees. If credit screening is pushed too far, it may violate laws for transfer of real estate.

Racial discrimination in housing is against federal law. You can complain to HUD online. Google it or call HUD at (800) 440-8091. The realtors and real estate attorneys in your area must know this.

What does it mean that they turn over their condos for $0? That can't be right.

You've read the OP's condo docs and saw this power enumerated there? Boards often do things they have no legal authority to do.
