What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT.
Hi the condos where I live decided 2 years ago to go from wood siding to vinyl. As this process went on the association newsletter put out a message that owners may change front doors and stated they had to be white, tan or green and nothing else. we changed our front door to a white door with an oval etched glass middle. we were called in front of the board for violating the bylaws, where I stated that in the bylaws there is nothing pertaining to front doors. this went unheard and they fined me $10 a day to a maximum of $1,500 which I paid. Now they have their law firm suing me. I have contacted the firm in hopes of settling this out of court. Their reply was they would drop the suit if I "replaced the front door to one that conforms to the bylaws". I stated I would be happy, but tell me how to conform. The bylaws can be see. at Currier Woods Home Page . I cannot find any rules regarding the door other than screen doors. Please help they want me to comply by Jan. 31st Thank You
