What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Massachusetts

The company I work for had an ownership change four years ago. For this example we will call the company My Products, Inc.

The new owner created a company we will call My Best Products, Inc. and offered existing employees an offer of employment which contained a Confidentiality and Non-disclosure agreement as well as a Non-solicitation agreement. All of which are in force for one year after separation from the company.

At the same time the original owner of My Products, Inc. closed said company. After a short period of time the new owner who created My Best Products, Inc. then began operating under the company name of My Products, Inc. as the name had become available for use in Massachusetts again. I'm not sure what he had to do legally to make this name change.

My question is; Are the employees legally bound to the agreement they signed with My Best Products, Inc.?
