What is the name of your state? Ohio

I called my realtor to make an offer on a house that I have looked at and she told me the house was in contract as of the day I called. Apparently, someone had made an offer on the house, it was accepted by the bank (the bank is selling the house) but the potential buyer failed to go to the bank first to get pre-qualifed. I am already pre-approved to get the funds to purchase the house, now must I wait to hear if the other buyers can get approved since there is a contract? I don't see the reason in us having to wait to see if they can get approved when I know that I already am. I am new to this so I would like some more experienced input please...

Thanks!

I will butt out when I know it is final but the realtor told me to hold on until she found out what was going on with them becuase they had yet to go to the bank. I was simply asking if it was possible for me to make my offer with her knowing I have the funds or do I have to wait for them to see if they can get approved, if they were paying cash, the deal would be final and I would not be waiting to hear from the realtor on whether I can make an offer or not. I understand that their financial issues are not my business but they are holding a house in limbo that I want and have the money for. I was asking what I thought was a simple question. That response made me feel totally ignorant for asking. Excuse me for being so inexperienced on this subject.
