What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

car broke down so i rode motorcycle form first time this year. had no idea my license expired, got pulled over for passing someone.

he wrote entered everything correct except for the year my license expired
he was also using a electronic ticket machine.

thanks for any advice :)

i know the da should plea down the passing
but hoping for more of a package deal.

last time i was in a guy had no reg, no inspection, no license and speeding ... ended up with the no license and that was all. i said one word - "wow"

"Passing" is generally not illegal, unless you did it say, in the oncoming traffic lane. What specifically did you get written up for?

As for a possible plea, it all depends on where you are. Certain counties are more lenient than others.

Or in the same lane Lane splitting isn't legal anywhere other than California.
Were you cited for the passing or just for the expired license?

cited for both (no pass zone) and unlicensed driver because it expired 7 months ago. i had no idea it was expired, its off the road for 7 months out of the year, and i only rode it a couple times last summer. first time ive ever slipped up on paperwork ... i even had my insurance re-instated the day before i got the ticket
hoping i can get it pleaded down.. maybe just to expired license, and a broken tail light
