I am located in New Jersey. I am a college student. My college has an honor system with an Honor Board. I would like to know if it is legally consistent for them to accuse an individual of copying another student's lab report if they do not have the original documents. Instead they have photocopies which are NOT notarized. Please let me know about the situation and where one would stand in this position.

thank you

My response:

You need to find out what "rules" they're using so that you can be on an even "playing field". They just cannot make the rules up as they go. For instance, ask them if they are using Robert's Rules of Order, or your States' "Evidence Code", and / or other court Rules as their guide. Once they tell you, then use those same sources. If they have no guide, then object to the entire proceeding and refuse to attend.

My response:

Did you read "Robert's Rules" yet ?

Did you ask them if they're using those evidence rules in "Robert's" or the State Evidence Laws ?
