I am in New York City. I requested a copy of my contract with my personal manager 8 days ago. I do not currently have a copy. How much time, if any, is reasonable for a copy to be sent before the contract is considered null and void? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Why don't you have a copy?
What is the contract for?

It's doubtful that contract executed between the properties will be "null and void" just because someone didn't retain what they signed.

The contract is an artist contract between a personal manager and myself, the artist. Because our relationship was both personal and professional, I neglected to notice that my copy of our 3 year contract never arrived in the mail. Now, 2 years later, and with severe dissatisfaction within both parties, I find myself wanting to look at the details of my contract to determine where I stand and what my rights are. However, I have no copy; therefore the request to her for one. In other words, I want out, but do not want to proceed with breaking a contract until I am sure that there will be no legal ramifications.
