What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
California

If I were to hire someone and he/she posts an article which obviously plagiarizes and talks bad about an organization. Assuming the information he/she published is obviously false. Could I personally be sued or does the person I hire be sued? Or does the business be sued.

Also is plagiarism considered Libil and a civil offense?

Please, OP. You've posted several "what ifs" tonight/this morning. If you have a REAL situation, that's fine - if that's the case, please keep your thoughts in one thread.

But if you're posting hypotheticals, you're wasting the time of volunteers who are trying to help people who have real legal problems. That's NOT the purpose of this forum.

Everyone: Post hx .

jasonxman, I provided a website for you to review in the thread you posted earlier (below this one). I suggest you go to the site (kccn.org) and do some reading.

If you had read through the site, as suggested, you would have seen that the site has the answers to the questions you asked here and the questions you asked in your other threads, and it probably has answers to all of the questions in your head that you have yet to pose.

IF the site does not provide you with the answers, then post back. But I suggest you do some reading on your own first. Your professor will appreciate the effort.
