What is the name of your state? MS

My x has just told my son, via e-mail, that he will be getting a new sibling soon. My question is how can this affect the my custody case? Will the new child help her get my son back?

Also, after reading Groovy Mom's jurisdiction thread I am confused. The judge here in MS granted the change of jurisdiction to MS. Does this mean that AZ had 'given up' jurisdiction or that MS has 'taken' it from them? Can this be overturned and we have to go back to AZ for the custody hearing?

Thank you in advance for any advice or opinions.

I'm lost.

Is there a custody order in place now with you having primary custody, or are you in the process of filing for a change of custody? More children doesn't usually mean the child has to go live with the other siblings. Change of custody is granted when there's a significant change of circumstances.

Is the mother still in AZ? Is that where the custody order was granted? How long have you had your son in MS?

I have temp care, custody, and control of my son (we had joint physical with her having primary legal and she would have physical if we moved more than 50 miles apart). My x is still stationed in AZ. The original order was in AZ. I moved to MS Dec 14, 2002 when my wife got out of the military. The custody hearing is in Jan.
