What is the name of your state? NJ
If somone went ot a car dealer to buy a car, and crashed the car into someone elses car. Must the customer pay for the dealers car, and who is responsible for the person crashed into. What would be if the dealer does, or dosnt have dealer insurance? Also af anyone has a source for this law in nj, please post.

My response:

Since you were behind the wheel, you're the one responsible. Simple.

Hey accidents happen even to good drivers sometimes.

Your insurance should cover you while test-driving a dealer car.

Many dealerships have ins. coverage & their coverage will pay for damages done to a car when a customer test drives a vehicle & has an accident. What did the dealership say? I have a friend (lives Mo.) whose son had an acc. while test driving a car & the dealer's ins. paid for the damages.
