What is the name of your state? CA

I didn't do it but sister did. She took out credit cards in our Grandma's name. The credit card companies called all the time asking for Grandma (who obviously didn't live with us). Sister eventually moved out and the calls stopped. Grandma recently died - will her estate get taxed?
What about my sister? Seems like fraud to me. Should I tell her to turn herself in or else? Or could I report her - I don't trust her!

I am sorry for your loss and the grief this must be causing.

What your sister did is fraud and ID theft. The creditors can take the money owed from her estate (once they go through court and get the go-ahead). If this is to be prevented, your sister does need to turn herself in or you may be able to report it (as Grandma has passed).

Go to the police department and see what they recommend if your sis won't fix the situation. Then the creditors can find out and go after the right person. Just be aware that your sister will likely be charged.
