What is the name of your state? MD

My wife and I are separated...Not legally as of yet...My question to you all is we have several credit cards in both our names...She has called all these creditors to have her named removed off the account thus stating that shes not responsible even though she was the one that used this card the most..It should be both our responsibilities...Any advice?!?

your wife is still liable even though she is no longer a user of the card since she signed the initial application.

So....

Just because her name is off the bill every month doesnt mean she isnt liable for the amount due?!?

she is liable just like you are.....because you are still married.

so that means you can negotiate a lower settlement amount in the divorce, deduct her share from anything you pay her.

She's just trying to scam you.
