I am wondering if it is true that I can offer to pay a creditor my remaining balance on my credit card account if the creditor would be willing to remove any negative items from my credit report. If so, how can i go about doing it?
I filed bankruptcy in 2002 and I really need this removed. Anybody have any ideas?

Pay for delete is possible, but not all creditors will agree to do it. Suggest you go over to creditboards.com for this one, they have sample letters and people who have successfully negotiated for deletion.

Was this debt included in your bankruptcy ? If so, why are you worried about it ? The bankruptcy has more impact on your reports than any of the included debts.
