What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MN

I am having issues with the County Attorney not wanting to pursue MN Statute 609.375. I have been told that they don't do that kind of filing in the county that I live in (Anoka County). What can I do? How would I file it myself since the support worker told me that I either have to do it myself or hire an attorney to do it.

I know in my posting hx I talk about step-parent adoption and we are still wanting to do it, we just can't afford an attorney for that either.

Average Melliann cannot file criminal charges. You CAN file for contempt, which is required for the criminal charge in 609.375. I haven't read your history -- has he been found in contempt??

Yes he has been found in contempt. The county attorney at the time pursued that option (my son is severely disabled and on medicaid). I have talked with my child support case worker and she has told me that they have done all that they can do.
