My employer is posting language that is offensive and in appropriate for the work place. I told him I was offend by the language, he didn't care--in fact he was offended that I was upset. Anyone I can complain to so he won't do it anymore?

Without knowing what your employer is posting and in what context, it's really not possible to say.

Can you provide more detail?

They hung a sign on the cooler door saying "PRICE THE G_ _ D_ _ _ Restock " and they signed it. I told them I was offended, but they won't take it down. Plus--I don't think there is any call for such abusive language towards anyone.

would it be better if the boss says "Meshel youre FIRED for not pricing the restock?"

Then you'd be here Bitching that you were illegally terminated!

I agree with you - there is no need for the boss to post a notice using that language. It's unprofessional to say the least.

At face value, no laws have been broken however. Merely being offended isn't sufficient. The language used doesn't malign members of a protected class (age, race, gender, etc.) and as swearing goes, is pretty commonplace usage.

There is a possibility that the employer is pushing the envelope if someone objected on the basis of their "sincerely held religious beliefs" but that's about it.
