What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Iowa

want to know what some of the senior members think of advice of new lawyer, XW has withheld parenting time citing my change of employment voids divorce decree and order pertaining to vacation, new lawyer advised that my parenting time in regards to vacation, PTO is not employer specific as long as I am employed and have PTO and have given required notice dates are still enforced.

New lawyer states to just document times/dates that X does not allow my parenting time and not to envolve police as this would put child in middle, she said that if X does withhold parenting time if she routinely withholds my parenting time we would then seek to enforce the decree by going to court. I tend to agree with this approach, what would be others advice.

Also X has enformed me I am obligated to provide proof of employment I tend not to agree with this statement but would like to know if this is true.

Thanks

I would suggest that you follow the advice of your attorney.

Thanks Zigner what would be your advice on the last question, I would rather not spend lawyers time (money) on this aquestion, my decree does not state I have to inform X of or provide X with proof of employment but she seems to think otherwise.

Also X has enformed me I am obligated to provide proof of employment I tend not to agree with this statement but would like to know if this is true.

It would be unusual to have a divorce decree that requires one to provide proof of employment. Therefore, if your decree does not say that you are required to do so, then you are not required to do so.
